The Advanced Cartridge packaging was developed to make proper loading easier, offer better protection, and reduce the potential for damage to the cartridge.

The Advanced Cartridge packaging is for use with all AMO lenses, silicone and acrylic, when implanting with the UNFOLDER™ Silver and Emerald Series Implantation Systems.

The Advanced Cartridge packaging features the following improvements:

• Loading pad – To simplify the loading process, the loading pad provides a place to set the IOL, once you remove it from the IOL package. With the IOL sitting next to the cartridge, it simplifies the process of properly loading the IOL into the cartridge.
• Pre-positioned wings – By positioning the cartridge wings at the proper angle for IOL loading, the new design is easier to hold and helps to ensure proper loading of the IOL.
• Thermoform tray – The Thermoform tray provides protection of the cartridges during shipping and storage.
